Why black and white photos?

Why show the world without color?

Among photographers you can find a saying that goes: “If image does not work in color, try black and white”. Why is that?

B/W (black/white) photos help draw out structure and texture in a motive, a scenery, etc. It also helps in simplifying the compostion and can still be used to create just the right atmosphere.
